You Only Lead Once: Community Competition
May 3rd | grimes gym
Climb Iowa’s premier roped competition is BACK for 2025 with NEW Division Ranges & a NEW Kids’ Session (ages 5-12). You Only Lead Once (YOLO) is an exciting community event made up of a social and fun top rope qualification round on brand new routes with the best of the best in each division leading only once during an exciting finals round. (Beginner & Intermediate divisions are a top rope final)

Held on the 3rd Friday of every month, come on in and meet other LGBTQ+ climbers and allies.

GARAGE SALE (All Day)
Find discounted, unclaimed gear from our lost and found—shoes ($15–$30), chalk bags/buckets ($5/$10), brushes ($2), water bottles ($5). All proceeds support Climbers Against Cancer.
GEAR SWAP (11am–2pm)
Sell or trade climbing and outdoor gear you’re no longer using. Set your own prices or swap items with others! Bring climbing gear, camping equipment, skateboards, bikes, workout clothing, skis/snowboards, and more. See the Facebook Event Group to share what you’re bringing & see what others are as well!

Belay Meet-Up

Come & meet other climbers at our weekly Belay Meet-Up lead by our Climb Iowa Staff Hosts! Whether you’re looking to meet your first climbing partner, expand your group, or just wanting to meet more people in the community, this meet-up is for you.
First Fridays: $5 after 5pm

For the first Friday of every month, Day Passes are just $5 after 5pm (rental gear not included ). This is a perfect time to come climb for a family outing, a hangout with friends, or a date night!
