March 26th 2022 is the date of YOLO, an on-sight youth lead and top rope competition held at Climb Iowa Grimes.

Volunteer Positions
- Judge: Scores the climb based off of a route map. Assesses control of certain holds and the completion of the route
- Top Rope Belayer: Belays top rope competitors on their climb. Only requirement is to be top rope certified!
- Lead Belayer: Belays lead climbing competitors on their climbs. Must be lead certified. (This is the hardest slot to fill, so if you know how to lead belay, we highly suggest you sign up for this slot if you can)
- ISO Monitors: Monitors the isolation area, checks competitors in to ISO, get the competitors out of the isolation area and out into the competition route flow on time.

Competition Schedule
Session 1 (FYB, FYC, FYD, MJR):
- 7:15 AM – ISO Volunteer Check-In
- 7:30 AM – Isolation Opens
- 7:30AM – Volunteer Judge/belayer Check-In
- 7:45 AM – Judges Meeting
- 8:15 AM – Isolation Closes
- 8:20 AM – Competitor Meeting
- 8:35 AM – Route Preview
- 9:00 AM – Climbing Starts
- 11:20 AM – Climbing ends (approximately)
Session 2 (MYB, MYC, MYD, MYA):
- 10:30 AM – ISO Volunteer Check-In
- 10:45 AM – Isolation Opens
- 10:45 AM – Volunteer Judge/belayer Check-In
- 11:00 AM – Judges Meeting
- 11:30 AM – Isolation Closes
- 11:35 AM – Competitor Meeting
- 11:50 AM – Route Preview
- 12:15 PM – Climbing Starts
- 2:30 PM – Climbing ends (approximately)
